The Aspen Nordic Club, founded in 1983, maintains over 60 kilometers of trails across four different locations, including the popular Aspen Golf Course and the Maroon Creek Road. The latter is a stunning 10-kilometer stretch of road that runs parallel to Maroon Creek and boasts views of the Maroon Bells, one of Colorado’s most iconic natural wonders. It’s also a popular training spot for Nordic athletes.
The Aspen Valley Ski & Snowboard Club, founded in 1937, has a Nordic program that has produced many world-class skiers, including Olympians Noah Hoffman and Simi Hamilton. The club’s Nordic program focuses on developing both competitive and recreational skiers of all ages and abilities.
The Aspen Nordic Club offers a variety of programs for all ages and skill levels, including ski clinics, races, and social events. The club’s goal is to promote the sport of Nordic skiing and make it accessible to everyone in the community.
Both the Aspen Nordic Club and Aspen Valley Ski & Snowboard Club prioritize environmental sustainability. The clubs work together to maintain the trails and minimize their impact on the environment. The Aspen Nordic Club was the first ski club in the country to be certified as a green club by the National Ski Area Association.
