Aspen, Colorado is known for its stunning views, luxurious resorts, and world-class skiing. However, it is also home to a tight-knit community that values education, outdoor recreation, and sustainability. These values are reflected in three local institutions: The Aspen Community School, The Aspen Golf Club, and The Rio Grande Trail.

Connecting these two institutions is the Rio Grande Trail, a 42-mile paved path that runs from Aspen to Glenwood Springs. The trail is open to hikers, bikers, and skaters and offers stunning views of the Roaring Fork Valley. However, the trail is also an example of sustainable transportation. By providing a safe and accessible pathway, the trail encourages people to leave their cars at home and use alternative modes of transportation.
